It’s great but I don’t think I can take it into battle.

These are a heavy gauge metal. They are pretty hefty, 9 imches long Etching on the handles makes for a simple but pretty serving spoon set.

New York Times Wirecutter section did a rave review of Kunz spoons. I bought one to try. Surprise, surprise. They are truly as useful as suggested. The mainstream version is 2.5 X larger than a tablespoon. The size, shape and balance makes them great for finish basting on seared steaks, portion control when used for plating sides, and as general serving spoonsIf you don't cook, they may not mean a lot. But if you spend enough time at the stove, you have to appreciate the number of things these spoons can do for you.

My favorite kitchen tools save me time and effort and make it easier to achieve great results. These spoons have it all. They come as a pair; one with a solid bowl, the other with a perforated bowl. They are intended for serving/plating but of course can be used for other purposes. They look great!I've own some other Chef Kunz spoons of very similar size and shape for a while and liked them very much. They're just the right size for one or two spoonfuls to usually be appropriate for a serving. They have a pleasing amount of heft in the hand and are quite sturdy. The spoons have a somewhat elongated shape that helps make it easy to place their contents where you want them to go. The attention to detail extends to the design of the handles. There's a small round hole located close to the end of the handle perforated spoon. This makes it easy to choose the type of spoon that you are looking for even if only the handles are visible.These spoons are pretty much just like my first set of Chef Kunz spoons except for their appearance. Both pairs of spoons have highly polished bowls but these also have an attractive cross-hatch pattern on their handles. I would not hesitate to put these spoons out on the table for my guests to use to serve themselves. While I've never had an issue with any of these spoons slipping in my hand, the cross hatching also improves one's grip on them. I'd definitely recommend them for fellow home cooks or for anyone who is searching for a great gift for one. Five stars!

Quality is good, the design is good, functions perfectly as a Kunz spoon at a lower cost that the original Kunz.

The ax head is nicely engraved but hard to see the details. I stained the handle an oak color with a coat of polyurethane. A nice benefit is that the stain also brought out the engraved details of the ax head.

These are great. The large spoon makes pan basting so much better. I wish I had bought them years ago. The slotted spoon doesnt get much use but it's nice to have.

I love this Axe! Good craftsmenship!

I've used these for a couple of weeks thus far and I find them to be just as good as the other Kunz chefs spoon. I wasn't sure I'd like the pointy tip, but it hasn't been an issue. Very nice design on the handles, my husband even noticed. I'd recommend.

The sword is beautiful. It is fun to wear around and have people ask about it. Construction quality is great for the price.

At first I didn't know what all the fuss was about. I'm not a professional chef, but I do like to cook, and consider myself a pretty decent chef in my own right.
