This hand-carved shield displays a unique Norse knotwork engraved art with the hammer of Thor in its center. In Norse mythology, Mjollnir is Thor's hammer, a symbol of his power. By carrying this shield in combat, warriors communicated their intent to destroy their opponents without mercy.

The shield is made out of 15mm thick birch plywood, painted, varnished by hand, and consolidated by iron bolts. It comes with a wood handlebar installed on the back.

The shield can be used as a decorative wall hanger or as a functional piece for medieval reenactment or LARP.

This is a great piece of equipment. The shield has a handle and the front of the shield is beautiful. The only issue I have is that on the picture it shows that on the back side it has a distinctive plank look, but in person it does not. It is just painted black. Over all a great shield for the renaissance fair

This is a very sturdy shield, made with pretty thick wood. The edge trim, and center bulb are made from some kind of plastic, and it is quite heavy. Even so it feels like it could take an axe strike (I wouldn�t recommend testing that though). Very solid addition to any costume or cosplay ????
I bought this for the kiddo and he loves it. That's all I need.
My husband loves all things viking. We have it on the wall of the basement, and it looks really great. Will definitely buy more from this seller!

My son absolutely loves this sheild his only conplaint is he cant grab the velcro and it bends when he bends his arm but all in all a great product and good value
